Mériem Jaïdane-Saïdane

is a full professor of Telecommunications at Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis (ENIT). She obtained the engineering degree in electrical engineering in 1980 from ENIT, then -at University of Paris-Sud-France (Laboratoire Signaux et Systèmes – Supélec)- the M.Sc. in 1981, the Ph.D in 1984 and the “Doctorat d’Etat” degrees in Communications and Signal processing in 1987. Since then, she joined the Information and Communications Technologies Department at ENIT, where she teaches and conducts her research, which covers the areas of analysis and design of adaptive signal processing algorithms, system and inverse system identification and prediction in nonlinear and non stationary context (radio-mobile and acoustic channels, short and mid-term energy load forecasting), audio processing (watermarking, audio texture analysis, audio systems quality,…).

She has supervised over 15 Ph.D. candidates in electrical engineering, communications and applied mathematics and was the investigator of numerous multi-disciplinary research projects with European research labs and with the industry. She is a co-founder of the Signals and Systems Lab (U2S) and was in charge of a master program on ICT and life sciences (TICV) which is in joint degree with Paris Descartes University (France).
